I love these photos (from a small batch of color prints) from August 1963! Especially this first one, with four kids proudly wearing their Mouse Ears, and a fifth kid wearing what appears to be a Civil War-style kepi (Union, I think!). I can't tell if those two boys in the middle are twins or not... the more I look, the more I think that they aren't (or at least they are not identical).
Paco the Parrot was quite the star, but he was used to the paparazzi. See him casually preening while his excited fans gape in wonder! It's all in a day's work for Paco. Notice the sign to the right, announcing the performance times for "Pat and Victoria". Apparently the Pirate Trio was reduced to a duo at some point.
This cute kid doesn't want to get too close to Happy (that is Happy, isn't it?), and I don't blame him. Look at the size of that head! He could swallow the kid in one gulp.
I don't recall ever seeing this small bandstand before, do you? Snow White and Sleepy the narcoleptic dwarf are placed on display like cuts of meat (if cuts of meat were placed on bandstands). Dance for us, Snow White, dance!
I have three more pictures from this small set, you'll see them soon!
